Job Description
Energy Manager Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools operates and maintains approximately 585 buildings, 1,000 mobile classroom units and over 18,000,000 square feet of real estate. We are currently hiring for an Energy Manager. Our Energy Manager supports efficient energy management practices through forecasting, planning, managing performance contracts, monitoring consumption trends, and teaming with engineering and maintenance employees to ensure operational and planned preventative maintenance best practices. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, energy management or related field plus five years experience in the design, operation or maintenance of major building HVAC and electrical systems; experience in AutoCAD systems; proficient computer skills in software related to business; proficient in energy cost calculations; thorough knowledge of building automatic control systems including remote building monitoring and operation and strong communication skills. Preferred candidates will have experience in a campus environment or multi-building complex. Salary range is $49,974-$60,626 with full benefits.
