Job Description

Responsible to the functional area manager to perform work activities and projects requiring the application of technical knowledge in a safe, cost effective and efficient way.
Exhibits expert level proficiency plus unique knowledge of a specialized technical area that enables the nuclear specialist to serve as the expert and highest level resource for the company in that area.

Leads company activities in specific areas of engineering.

Leads projects and development activities related to specific unique, and/or highly specialized areas.

Develops, recommends and implements plans to address company issues within specialized field of technical expertise.

Leads in the preparation and presentation of complex technical subjects, clearly and concisely before senior management, professional organizations, regulatory bodies, etc.

Identifies, resolves and initiates solutions to highly complex problems that are unique to the company and industry and requires specialized knowledge of equipment and/or problem solving techniques or the development of knowledge and techniques.

Support and participate in the Emergency Plan Organization, and Corrective Action Program activities as assigned, and in accordance with procedures and policies applicable for the assigned role.   

Perform all duties, and work with other employees in a safe manner, in compliance with appropriate company safety policies and rules.

Assume responsibility for continuously upgrading knowledge and skill.   

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Biology or Chemistry, or Associate Degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET accredited school or equivalent work experience.

Typically requires a minimum of 25 years of equivalent experience in the nuclear industry. Sustained excellent performance (PC 4 or better) at the senior level.

Requires 15 years experience in ASME Section XI Pressure Testing and Inservice Inspection programmatic requirements.
