Our Power Electronics Packaging and Semiconductors group within the Automation Devices department is looking for an R&D Scientist (m/f). As a part of ABB Corporate Research, you will work in dynamic, motivating and creative teams with people who share a wide range of experience and competence. Your tasks: researching new materials and advanced processing technologies for power semiconductor devices • evaluation of existing and development of new semiconductor device manufacturing processes • close cooperation with academic partners and semiconductor fab • simulation of power semiconductor device structures • clean-room processing and characterization of state-of-the-art high power semiconductor devices • process simulation The requirements: PhD or Master’s degree and minimum 5 years working experience • degree in physics or electrical engineering • strong expertise in semiconductor processes and clean-room operation • basic knowledge in semiconductor process simulation • knowledge of power device physics beneficial • fluency in English, both written and spoken • broad technical interest • action-oriented, analytical team player • strong communication skills Your contact: ABB Switzerland Ltd Corporate Research Silvia Murara HR Business Partner Segelhofstrasse 1 K CH-5405 Baden 5 Dättwil We are looking forward to receiving your online application including your complete documents (max. 1 MB)!
