Job Description
Background:
ABB Power Systems - is responsible for four business units; namely Substations, Network Management, Grid Systems and Power Generation. The works performed in these units include all aspects of design, construction, procurement and project management for large infrastructure projects.

Job Description:
The HSE/QA Managers role is to;
- management of quality systems across the four units. This includes the updating of existing systems, performing internal audits and ensuring successful outcomes of external audits;
- management of project related quality systems in accordance with internal policies and procedures and the end clients requirements;
- performance of site quality audits across PS Divisional sites;
- QA reporting and coordination with other Divisional QA systems and processes;
- management of HSE systems across the four units. This includes the updating of existing systems, performing internal audits and ensuring successful outcomes of external audits;
- management of project related HSE systems in accordance with internal policies and procedures and the end clients requirements;
- performance of site safety audits across PS Divisional sites;
- HSE reporting and coordination with other Divisional HSE systems and processes;
- ensuring and implementing training plans/requirements for QA/HSE across the Division;
- management of Subcontractor Safety database for all site related subcontractors.
- process improvement focus and activities across the division, including training

Essential Skills Required:
- Understanding of ABB Quality/HSE Systems and Processes;
- Knowledge of/implementation of State and Federal legislative requirements;
- Trained in performing both QA and HSE audits;
- Experienced with site based infrastructure projects;
- Strong communications and leadership skills
- Detailed knowledge of and experience and understanding of AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008; AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004, AS 4801:2007/OHSAS 18001:2007
