Our Power Device Simulation group within the Electrotechnologies department is looking for a computational scientist, physicist or engineer (m/f) specialized in field simulations. As a part of ABB Corporate Research, you will work in dynamic, motivating and creative teams with people who share a wide range of experience and competence. Your tasks: carry out field simulations in a research environment • plan and execute R&D projects • investigate future product concepts by advanced simulations • support a numerical simulations team as an active member • establish simulations in product design practice • contribute to the advanced use of various commercial simulation tools for computational electromagnetism, mechanics and coupled-field problems • collaborate with universities and research organizations The requirements: PhD or comparable qualification/experience in electrical or mechanical engineering, physics, computational mathematics, or a related field • experience with mechanical or electromagnetic simulations • background in finite element method (FEM) • knowledge in coupled-field simulations an advantage • experience with CFD a plus • knowledge of C++, Fortran or other programming languages • working knowledge of UNIX and Windows • experience with commercial 3D simulation tools advantageous • fluency in English and willingness to learn German • team player with good communication skills Your contact: ABB Switzerland Ltd Corporate Research Silvia Murara HR Business Partner Segelhofstrasse 1 K CH-5405 Baden 5 Dättwil We are looking forward to receiving your online application including your complete documents (max. 1 MB)! | |
