Position Summary Under general supervision, responsible for moderately complex analytical activities including the valuation and analysis of structured transactions; developing hedging approaches for the structured deals; developing analytical models, using computer models and databases, performing statistical studies and interacting with internal work groups. Works with regular guidance in own area of knowledge. Primary Responsibilities 1. Prepares moderately complex computer models and statistical studies. 2. Assists in the valuation of moderately complex energy transactions. Analyzes possible solutions and assesses each using standard procedures. 3. Identifies, evaluates, and assists management in understanding the risk exposure of transactions and the overall position. Investigates changes and/or discrepancies, resolves the issues, and informs management. 4. Works with deal entry, marketing and risk group to model the complex structured transactions in Zainet and assures that the deals are entered accurately and timely. 5. Maintains and develops Zainet reports to monitor hedge and speculative positions, investigates any changes from expectations, and informs management and responsible personnel of the changes in this position. 6. Assists in the review of realized revenues and costs. Candidate Qualifications Candidates must meet the basic qualifications to receive consideration. Basic Qualifications 1. Bachelor's Degree 2. Two to four years experience in one or several of these areas: a. Wholesale power markets and their related market fundamentals in the regions of MISO, NYISO, NEPOOL, and PJM. b. Wholesale products; energy, capacity, renewable energy, ancillary services or other market products inherent in an ISO environment. c. Financial analysis, risk analysis, statistical analysis. Preferred Qualifications 1. BS in Engineering or Business or a related business degree. Masters Degree preferred but not required. 2. Strong oral and written communication skills to communicate and achieve objectives.
