RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures a customer focused, strategic and consolidated approach to HR programs and processes. Responsible for strategically reviewing and linking programs and processes to ensure comprehensive and cost effective service/product delivery to all TVA customers. Serves as a change agent and the conscience of HR programs and initiatives. Leads and project manages HR programs and initiatives. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Provides expert consulting, project management and implementation management services to meet customer's needs for TVA-wide and organization initiatives. Serves as a change agent and proactively seeks opportunities for supporting Business Units and Corporate Staffs. Remains constantly aware and alert to emerging needs of HR and all other TVA organizations to take a proactive approach with regard to offered products and services Consults with customers, understands the customer's business, and designs and makes recommendations for progressive programs and initiatives such as education and training, leadership development, mentoring, recognition, and organization effectiveness which enhance the workforce strategies and improve efficiency, innovation and competitiveness. Evaluates (including research and benchmarking) the effectiveness of and assists in modifying current programs and initiatives both for HR and its customers to ensure organizational objectives are being accomplished efficiently and effectively. Promotes continuous improvement of execution and delivery of HR processes and assists in ensuring the appropriate integration of processes. Designs and directs HR initiatives that will lead culture change throughout TVA in support of other various programs and services. Serves as project lead or team member on various special projects for HR. Performs special projects TVA-wide as requested. Assists and advises the Senior Manager, on various programmatic and service delivery initiatives. Provides support to Executive Vice President, Human Resources on cross-organizational issues and special projects. Helps create an environment when coaching, teamwork, cooperation, diversity and creativity flourish. ELIGIBILITY FACTORS: Bachelor degree in human resources, management, business, training or other comparable related field, or equivalent education, training and experience in human resources, project management, consulting services or business. An advanced degree is desirable. At least ten years experience in business, HR, or consulting. Demonstrated excellence in research and problem solving skills, analytical skills, strong communication and written skills, planning/project management, advance knowledge/experience in the state-of-art information regarding organizational effectiveness, customer service, and interpersonal relationship management skills. Strong business judgment skills. Must understands competitive challenges and be able to identify key human resource strategies to complement organizational strategy. Knowledge of business strategy.
