ABB is a leader in power and automation technologies that operates in more than 100 countries and employs about 120,000 people. Project Fix is a Global cross functional (Accounting & Treasury) project managed from within GF-IS. It is designed to improve the accounting for hedging of foreign currency risks and embedded derivatives within ABB. The project also involves optimizing the underlying hedges. The project involves developing and rolling out new tools, training materials and setting up a centre of expertise globally and by country. The Center of Expertise will continue beyond the project phase and provide ongoing support and advice on hedging and hedge accounting. Working in a cross functional team, the Help Desk & Training Support Specialist will provide a first point of contact for Local Centers of Expertise or other ABB professionals with queries regarding Hedging & Hedge Accounting. Your tasks: Point staff towards the appropriate ABB tools, instructions and training material • identify where a query is new to the CoE and highlight it to the CoE manager or appropriate specialist • Follow up on training plans to ensure that key staff are properly trained and kept up to date • Maintain the FiX CoE web page and other communication tools.
