AREVA T&D PEM delivers turn key project in power electronics substations especially in the electrolysis area and in traction systems. Its expertise is involved in various part of the product, through network study, engineering, transformer and filter specifications, power factor correction, diode or thyristor rectifier, supervision architecture, control and regulation, installation and commissioning.
Objective Within the R&D department, the selected candidate will be involved in the power quality analysis for a large electrolysis smelter. He will take part in the electrical network filtering and in the transient stability studies of an aluminum substation. By the use of specific software tools, he will simulate the complete system in order to study several aspects such as: Transient phenomenaPot-line start and stopLoad sheddingPower outage and fault (voltage dip, micro-disconnection…)Filter switching on and off for the different configurations (effect on network and on potlinefor filter on HV and tertiary, current and voltage in filter and transformer) Electrical network filtering aspectsInfluence of a negative sequence on the harmonics (impact on the generated harmonics,impact of a slight phase unbalance, impact of a slight difference in the firing angle) Influence of existing busbars THDv on our groupsAll items will be treated by simulation and will make the object of a report that will include the analysis, the results and the demonstrations of the phenomenon involved. The candidate will also be involved in some tests on mock-up. Qualification and work experience : You are following an engineering degree in electrical engineer (FRENCH SCHOOL IS MANDATORY) and possess very good power electronics and power system analysis skills. You are a team player, with very strong practical trouble shooting capabilities, autonomous and self motivated. Knowledge about/willing to learn the use of PowerFactory is mandatory. | |
