Job Summary: Provides oversight and governance for the TVA Nuclear project management strategic approach. Responsible for implementation of consistent and effective project management concepts, techniques, software programs, training programs and certification. Directs management of all major nuclear technical projects, including steam generator replacements, dry cask storage programs, and major site or facility modifications. Directs the nuclear project management strategic approach to ensure that managed activities are conducted in accordance with appropriate regulations and TVA policies, programs, and procedures; plant Technical Specifications; and Federal, state and local regulations. Manages the TVA Nuclear Project Management organization. Primary Responsibilities: º Provide governance, direction, oversight, and support for all major technical programs. º Responsible for implementation of consistent and effective project management concepts, techniques, software programs, training and certification programs. º Manage the fabrication, manufacturing, and installation of plant equipment associated with major technical projects. º Interface with international companies and contractors to procure equipment manufactured outside the U.S. º Manage all major technical project contractors ensuring qualified contractors are available to support the procurement, manufacturing, and installation phases. º Manage the TVA Nuclear Project Management organization. Minimum Eligibility Requirements: º Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field is required. º Should have 12-15 years of experience managing large, technical projects associated with the design, construction, operation, or modification of nuclear power generation facilities, of which 8-10 years are in a supervisory capacity, including supervision or craft personnel and contract personnel. º Must have detailed working knowledge of nuclear power plant design, construction, operation, and maintenance techniques and practices. º Must have working knowledge of nuclear power plant governance requirements (e.g. 10CFR, FSAR, NQAM). º Must have ability to analyze complex technical and management problems and determine the most cost-effective and technically sound solutions.
