The MRO Servicer will read, connect, disconnect, maintain, repair and change single-phase and network self-contained meters energized up to 260 volts.
Read, install, change, disconnect, reconnect and remove all self-contained, socket base, single-phase, and network meters in the field for reasons other than disconnect for non-pay.
Read in-out field orders and verify readings.
Investigate AMR problems and obtain meter readings via mobile collector and handheld devices.
Investigate and solve access problems.
Perform rerouting and mapping activities as required.
Read IDR meters and recorders (except in stations).
Install seal on meter bases, demand resets, meter enclosures, sealing bands or locking device.
Leave collection notices on customer premises and accept field promises.
Make voltage and load checks on single-phase, network services at customer premises.
Observe and report data required in periodic surveys and studies.
Perform duties in accordance with the Company's meter standards, safety rules and operating regulations and practices.
Report hazards, unsatisfactory conditions, and energy diversion.
Promote positive image of Company to the public through courteous and appropriate behavior.
Report customer requests and inquiries to supervision.
Operate company radios in accordance with Company guidelines.
Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
Maintain records and submit reports as required.
Direct the work of employees assigned to assist.
Attend and participate in training as assigned and assist in the training of other employees.
Perform similar or less skilled work.
Report irregularities and abnormal conditions.
Assist employees of equal or higher classification.
Perform other duties as assigned by proper authority. Minimum Requirements 1. High school or equivalent education.
2. Must qualify through demonstration, examination and/or performance appraisal as determined by the Company.
3. Successfully complete Company training and qualification programs for this classification.
4. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver?s license. Must meet all vehicle operation requirements as designated by federal and/or state law.
5. Must be able to understand and follow instructions and learn all rules, procedures, and safety practices applicable to the work.
6. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and the general public in a courteous and appropriate manner.
7. Must be able to work independently under semi-direct supervision in an efficient, productive, and safe manner.
8. Must be physically capable of performing required duties of the position.
9. Proficiently use computers and software related to this job classification.
10. Successful completion of the Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) selection test is required for this position.
