Job Description

Summary


This position is responsible for performing plant-engineering activities. Plant Engineer provides engineering and technical support to Site Operations and Maintenance Departments assuring reliable and efficient plant operation.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Specific duties include development of plant temporary modifications, troubleshooting, engineering evaluations, supporting Engineering Change Requests, resolution of short-term equipment issues, and assessment of adverse equipment conditions. Provide high quality technical assistance associated with system modifications and operating, maintenance and testing procedures. Job Responsibilities Duties will include response to NRC/NEI letters and bulletins, development of new inspection strategies, development of fleet standards and procedures for material programs, and development of repair/replacement strategies.
  • Develop schedules, utilize work management tools, support T-week meetings, perform assignments for engineering related activities to support site and fleet goals. Miscellaneous activities as assigned.
  • Attend department and plant meetings and industry activities.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering



Preferred

  • 8 years of nuclear experience preferred.
  • Post-bachelor's degree (e.g., masters' or professional school equivalent) in engineering or other technical field preferred. Minimum qualifications, which apply to all levels in the engineering hierarchy, require a four-year engineering degree from an American Board of Engineering Technology (ABET) accredited institution. The applicability of the degree shall be documented at time of hiring.
    Selection criteria may include testing and/or assessment.
