| Job Description |
Responsible for performing a wide variety of secretarial and administrative support services that are diverse and often sensitive or confidential. Broad knowledge of corporate and nuclear functions and ability to exercise a great degree of independent judgment. This position reports to the Executive Director / VP – Nuclear Development and will provide administrative support to the entire PSEG Power Nuclear Development Team. Works independently on assignments using judgment and initiative to research sensitive/confidential issues as they relate to the office or department. Composes and researches various correspondence and reports. Screens incoming information and routes assignments/questions as required to others in the department. Will provide research support for special projects and other functions including assisting in the preparation of presentation materials, and in developing various work products and schedules to complement the planning process and deliverables for the Team. Research, coordinate and/or assemble material and information for complex projects and products. Assists in preparation of presentations (i.e., data collection/analysis). Maintain personnel files as required. Maintain schedules, calendars, and itineraries as required. Will act as SAP time administrator, Access / FFD Coordinator, and Purchasing / Supply Chain interface for the department. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls. REQUIRED: AS Degree or business/secretarial school or equivalent experience with executive/key manager-level administrative support experience. Ability to make procedural decisions and judgments – sometimes in an ambiguous environment. 7 years experience in a progressively more responsible secretarial/assistant role. Knowledge of Company and Nuclear policies and procedures. Ability to meet Nuclear requirements for access. Demonstrated planning and organizational skills. Superior oral and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization. Proven proficiency in the use of SAP and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent keyboarding skills and the ability and willingness to learn new software programs. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and work under pressure. Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted access. DESIRED: Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. DESIRED: CPS certification.
