Job Description
The METER READER Test is a battery of aptitude tests designed and validated to aid in the selection of candidates for Meter Reader positions. The job opportunity listed below requires that you take and achieve an acceptable score on the METER READER Test. REQUEST FOR METER READER TEST: The position listed below is being posted in anticipation of a limited number of vacancies occurring during the year. Meter Reader – Performs field work in connection with reading gas and Electric meters and other related work. Duties include: safely reading and recording meter readings at customer’s premises, recording, resetting and resealing demand meters and meter enclosures as directed; and reporting any emergency conditions immediately to supervision. Required Skills for the job opportunities listed below are: . High school diploma or equivalent . Have and maintain a valid driver’s license . An acceptable score on the METER READER Test Desired Skills: . Experience with reading meters . Ability to read maps .
