Job Description

Systems Engineer Specific Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate engineering activities of Aluminum electrification projects involving sub-stations, rectifiers, MV & LV switchgears, Automation, Protection and Instrumentation
Power distribution designs for Aluminum applications
Prepare harmonic studies, Arc Flash, load, short circuit and protection coordination.
Prepare single line diagram, control scheme of the electrical distribution.
Technical coordination between the customer, consultants and the suppliers.
Sales support
Equipment specification such as Switchgear, MCC, Transformers and cables
Prepare installation specifications

Qualifications
University degree in electrical engineering
Member of OIQ, Knowledge of electrical standards (ANSI, CSA, IEC, Canadian Electrical Code)
Knowledge in power distribution (HV, LV)
Bilingual (French-English)
10-15 years experience in the field of industrial electrification projects.
Availability to travel within Canada and abroad.
Strong leadership/interpersonal skills
Positive Attitude and Common Sense
Experience in the aluminum Industry would be a asset
