Substation Design Engineer Edmonton, Alberta, Canada 2009-12-475 Job Summary: As a valued member of our team in Edmonton, your role will involve physical arrangement and design of HV substation layouts and responsibility for the civil/structural interface to the physical layout. Your ability to read and understand single line drawings and 3-phase schematics is essential. This role also involves interfacing with the engineering team and clients as well as preparing the bill of materials and work packages. Familiarity with CSA, IEEE, and pertinent substation design standards is required. Qualifications: BSC in Electrical Engineering Minimum 5+ years experience in the design and layout of industrial and utility AIS/GIS, HV substations Ability to write clear and concise reports Strong knowledge of HV substation equipment configurations, bus arrangements, grounding, shielding, insulation classes, bus bracing, trenching, etc. Effective communication, leadership, initiative and negotiation skills P.Eng. designation or eligibility to register with APEGGA To Apply:
