Job Description
Summary
Direct the activities of accredited and non accredited program training instructors and ensure the quality of training conducted. Ensure training complies with regulatory and accreditation requirements. Improve individual and department performance and support station and fleet needs. Additional responsibilities include CAP management, support of the maintenance groups? day-to-day activities, and Emergency Response Organization duties as applicable.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise maintenance instructors. Includes managing instructor time, expenses, performance, corrective action program, and providing instructors with constructive feedback.
  • Provide program oversight to ensure that training is systematically conducted to continuously improve maintenance performance in accordance with the accredited training process and all applicable codes and regulations. Ensure that assessments and evaluations are conducted according to fleet procedures; facilitate and participate in training review committees, and prepare the site and programs for accreditation renewal.
  • Supervise the conduct of quality maintenance training. Requires observing and correcting training practices, procedures and policies.
  • Participate in fleet, industry and regulatory workshops, benchmarking, assessments, and assistance as assigned. Lead fleet training standardization team; participate in INPO ATVs and seminars; participate in other sites' assessments and implement benchmarking best practices.
  • Perform ERO duties based on site-specific assignments. Support the ongoing operations of the fleet.
Required
Up to two years of formal post-high school specialized trade school, technical school, or college in science, engineering or technical area such as Radiation Protection, Chemistry or Maintenance trades. Bachelor's degree in technical or education field preferred. Minimum five years work experience in Radiation Protection, Chemistry, Maintenance, or Engineering. Candidates must have strong training background. Nuclear training background as a training staff member preferred.
