Direct team of quantitative analysts involved in the development of innovative hedging approaches for structured transactions using advanced computing and programming skills. Structured transactions include: physical, financial, options, swaps and other derivatives, within the scope of Corporate parameters. Team is also responsible for developing models, pricing exotic derivatives and designing and performing quantitative studies of historical and forecasted energy commodity prices, loads and generation for pricing decision and risk management. Work with marketing/origination, trading and asset portfolio managers to develop and manage new products and strategies. Direct the development, implementation and applications of complex computer financial and mathematical models/systems that are used in trading of simple and complex structured products, risk management and management of portfolio assets. Work with other parts of the Corporation to coordinate, develop and implement strategic initiatives that span multiple Corporate entities. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls. Required: . Bachelor's Degree PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. . Extensive knowledge of options theory and valuation techniques used to price complex product structures and hedge portfolios . Thorough understanding of classic risk management principles such as VaR etc. and their application in the energy trading environment . Thorough understanding of advanced statistical techniques and demonstrated proficiency in numerical computer programming . Ability to develop, implement and manage complex transactions within the confines of ER&T’s practices and procedures . Ability to develop and direct development of complex models and computer systems necessary in energy trading environment . Thorough understanding of accounting principles and treatments . Strong communication and interpersonal skills enabling the candidate to objectively communicate with risk management, trading/marketing personnel and other stakeholders . Problem-solving skills, results oriented, creative and innovative, a team player, leadership and sound decision making abilities Desired: . Advanced/PhD . Extensive knowledge of energy markets | |
