POSITION DESCRIPTION

As a Heat Pumps R&D Project Manager within the R&I center based in Aix en Provence, your position will be dedicated to assess and identify opportunities for the Hydrogen and Storage business line in this field.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Realize analysis of existing and emerging technologies and competitors watch/benchmark in the thermodynamic systems domain
  • Identify technical deadlocks to develop these products. Identify synergies with other technologies in H&S business line.
  • Develop the tools and the capacity to evaluate energy savings brought by the prefered technologies, in order to prepare for commercial activities.
  • Assess CO2 reduction potential, market potential in different regions, in coordination with Business Development.
  • Identify key technological partners in this domain in coordination with Business Development.
  • Identify gaps and potential competitive advantage and propose R&D actions in this domain to the Business lines concerned.
  • Manage R&D projects in this domain
  • Define appropriate tasks and corresponding means in our R&I center in coherence with tasks done at our partners location
  • Represent AREVA Renewables in conferences linked to the domain of thermodynamic systems.
This position will be in strong interaction with DRI initiatives in Smart Grids, GEM and Energy management.

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
  • Masters degree in Engineering
  • Experience in Thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluids and heat pumps
  • New energy technologies (components & systems)
  • 2 years min of experience in R&D project management with high technological content
  • Experience with simulation studies in energy management
  • Experience of partnership with external partners (public labs or industry)
  • English : fluent
