Job Description
Position Summary Perform 3D modeling of plant systems and structures under the supervision of engineers and project managers. The interns will work at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant ("MNGP" - located between St. Cloud and Minneapolis, MN). Interns will use CATIA software to build an interactive model of MNGP to be used in current and future design and installation activities. Successful candidates will gain experience with engineering, technical drafting and 3D modeling. Through practical field experience and mentoring will also gain significant professional confidence and people skills. Minimum Requirements Applicant must be attending an ABET accredited engineering school Sophomore or Junior level. Mechanical and Electrical Engineering degrees preferred. Prefer at least one year study in CATIA, SolidWorks, Pro-E or other relevant modeling systems. The applicant must be self- motivated, have good mechanical aptitude, and work well with others. Must be able to work in a power plant environment (stairs, grating, heights, confined spaces, heat and noise).
