Job Description
Looking for an exciting opportunity in quality? "Assist" AREVA as a Quality Assistant!
Reporting to the Director, Exploration and Acquisitions, the Quality Assistant will perform document control and records management responsibilities in accordance with the Exploration department's ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) and the Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS) guidelines and other related activities such as, but not limited to the following:
  • Assisting the Quality Specialist with the implementation and maintenance of the EMS and IQMS, including assuming the role of Acting EMSMR in the absence of the Quality Specialist;
  • Assisting the Contract & Permits Specialist with the handling of contracts and permits and assumes this role in the absence of the Contract & Permit Specialist;
  • Assuming all responsibilities for administering the Exploration radiation protection system;
  • Active participant in EMSIT and assists with the preparation of EMS & IQMS meeting agendas/ notifications/minutes;
  • Assisting the Quality Specialist with internal audits and reviews, and the delivery of EMS and IQMS training sessions;
  • Identifying, scheduling, notification, and tracking of IQMS related training opportunities for Exploration Department and contractor staff;
  • Assisting with the identification and the tracking of legislative requirements and the notification of legislative amendments and changes to exploration staff;
  • Data entry into the various databases related to EMS and IQMS; and
  • Assisting with the preparation of EMS & IQMS audit notifications and reports.

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity.

  • Certificate or diploma in Business Education, Library and Information, or similar discipline;
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products and Visio;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to organize and prioritize.

The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.

  • Familiarity with Quality field or ISO would be an asset; and
  • Familiarity with SAP would be an asset.
