Services Manager - Directory Services Job In Saint-Laurent

The offered position is within the Group IS Infrastructure Operations which mission is to deliver IS Infrastructure as a utility providing efficient and predictable global IT infrastructure that meets or exceeds our user’s expectations. As part of this organisation, the goal of the Service Manager – Directory Services is to successfully manage the delivery of Directory Services across all ABB countries. The Service Manager is also the overall responsible person for the Architecture and Development of the Directory Services. The position will be based in Canada.

Your tasks: Manage lifecycle (from introduction to retirement) of Directory Services, including service planning and operational & delivery model. You will own and be responsible for all Directory Services activities and supporting processes as well as the relevant architecture.

You will act as the primary Interface for Directory Services and related Projects • Ensure that the Directory Services function reliably and at the required level of security • You will be responsible for enforcing Group IS standards and guidelines as they relate to Directory Services • You will own change management for Directory Services • You will assess and approve changes (in conjunction with other Infrastructure Architects and our External Service Provider) that are out of scope of defined support and operations processes • You will be responsible for setting policies and processes for changes to Directory configuration and schemas and will manage dependencies for Directory Services (e.g. Global DNS, Global LDAP, third-party tools, licenses and vendors) • Own all internally developed directory-related applications and provide Level 3 support • Coordinate Directories Services integration with applications and other services • Provide "knowledge" support on Directories Services for non-outsourced countries • Act as an interface on Directories Services between non-outsourced countries and External Service Provider.

The requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience • Service Manager with 3+ years working experience in managing complex global Active Directory services (across more than 50 countries and more than 50,000 clients) • 8+ years of working experience in Information Technology field • Experience in managing global implementation of IT projects • Strong project management skills • Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and related technologies • Very good technical knowledge of DNS, Microsoft ADAM and Microsoft ILM (formerly MIIS) • Proven ability to work in a virtual team environment • Thorough knowledge of IT service management concepts (ITIL) is a plus • Fluent spoken and written English.
