Looking for an exciting opportunity to work as a Field Service Technician? Areva has just the opportunity for you!
AREVA is currently seeking a Field Service Technician for the High Voltage product lines. The Field Service Technician provides the customer with technical support, promotes overall consumer satisfaction, and provides Engineering and Product Development feedback, based in Rockledge, FL, Charleroi, PA, or from a home office by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
1. Provides assistance to higher level technicians.
2. Performs installation on DT HG and SW product line.
3. Performs factory required testing for field commissioning of DT & HG products.
4. Perform assembly and installation of other AREVA T&D products.
5. Performs factory required testing for field commissioning of other AREVA T&D products.
6. Performs different levels of maintenance and repairs on AREVA T&D products.
7. Performs customer level maintenance training on assorted type of AREVA T&D products.
8. Informs and advises customers about proper care of products, product evolution, part modifications, and warnings.
9. Provides technical assistance to customers on DT, HG and SW product line as well as other AREVA T&D products.
10. Performs as Field Services Site Lead on large turn-key projects.
11. Answers customer inquiries over the phone when feasible.
12. Responds quickly to customer inquiries to keep response time to a minimum.
13. Keeps abreast of current developments in the company and its products, such as changes or improvements in design, production, or shipping procedures as well as new product developments in order to provide customers the highest quality of service.
14. Record activities of work performed in the field, parts shipped, or technical assistance that is provided over the phone using Field Services forms and documents.
15. Maintains corporate image in all situations.
16. Continues training to expand knowledge of AREVA T&D products.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity.
  • Associate's Degree (A.A.) in Electrical Maintenance or a related field from a two-year college or technical school; and
  • Two to fifteen years related experience in providing customer service, maintaining and repairing high voltage switchgear products; or equivalent combination of education and experience
