Job Description
Accountable for managing Bethlehem Energy Center (BEC) in Albany, New York in accordance with the PSEG Fossil Operational Excellence Model (OEM) to produce reliable and economic electricity in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. This position is accountable for direct line management of station operations, maintenance, administration, and technical areas. This requires accurate determination and communication of operational and maintenance priorities, demonstrated human resource skills to effectively lead personnel towards continuous improvement, and demonstrated planning skills to develop and execute facility business plan.
• Implements and supports the PSEG Fossil Operational Excellence Model.
• Committed to ensuring safe plant operation and environmental compliance
• Provides leadership, direction and supervision to the staff
• Promotes productivity and teamwork with open communication, timely decision making, and use of personal skills to set high standards of performance within the business unit and corporate support entities.
• Promotes and supports the development of technical, leadership, and business skills of employees to carry out responsibilities in a competitive environment.
• Ensures regular feedback is provided to employees on their performance to allow them to capitalize on their strengths and focus on opportunities for improvement.
• Creates and supports an organizational culture that encourages and rewards employee involvement, innovative thinking, adaptation to change, responsible risk taking, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
• Manages all business aspects of assigned area to maximize competitive position of the business unit, including maintaining proper staffing levels and proactive cost management
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with organizations external to the business unit
• Manages development of appropriate standards guidelines, programs, and procedures within assigned area of responsibility.
•Responsible for O&M/Projects/Overhaul Budget development and implementation.
Overtime and non-standard working hours as required; 10-15% travel; Work around rotating and energized equipment, hazardous materials and chemicals.

REQUIRED:
* Bachelor's Degree and 5 years Plant Experience or 8-10 years Plant or Plant Service Provider Experience.
* Five years experience leading/supervising employees in a power generation, operations or maintenance environment.
* Knowledge of combined cycle power plant systems, equipment, material, operations and finances.
* Valid drivers license in state of residency.

DESIRED:
* Advanced degree in business or engineering.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
