Business Unit Overview Business Services provides Exelon and its subsidiaries with financial, human resource, legal, information technology, supply management and corporate governance services. Job Description PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION This position reports to the Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. The position sources, evaluates, recommends and monitors all private market investments including private equity, real estate and other illiquid strategies. "Owns" private market investment portfolio and collaborates closely with CIO. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: Source, evaluate and recommend new private market investments for all Exelon investment portfolios. Closely monitor and evaluate all existing private market portfolio investments. As a member of the Investment leadership team, uses strong understanding of the dynamics of private market investment products and how they interact with other investment strategies to assist and play a key role in developing overall investment strategy. Industry expert that maintains relationships with investment managers and key private market participants. Current on all industry trends in order to identify and monitor key issues and top investment managers/funds. Share responsibility for developing and mentoring all investment analysts. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: Minimum: Minimum 8 to 10 years industry specific experience. Pension and/or endowment/foundation experience preferred. CFA, CAIA or MBA required. Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with outside investment managers and to interface with Exelon senior executives and Board members. Excellent negotiating skills. Comprehensive knowledge of investments, finance, and economic practices. Demonstrated technical knowledge of investments and industry dynamics. Highly organized with superior analytical skills. POSITION SCOPE: This position reports to Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. Position will require careful management of all private market investments. Position also demands establishing and maintaining strong relationship skills with both internal and external contacts.
