Job Description
Nuclear Co-op Position to assist with engineering functions at the Salem Nuclear Generating Station in Salem, NJ. The Co-op's / Intern's assignments will be supervised by the Plant, Design, Programs, or Engineering Services Branch Manager and will support other Engineers in these disciplines. Job functions include assisting with identification, investigation, and resolution of plant operating, safety and design issues to ensure plant reliability and availability. Support Engineers with monitoring, trending and assessing of systems and components to improve reliability. Assist in engineering evaluation of ideas and research of questions in specialty areas. Assist Engineers with system performance for designated systems. Support cross-functional teams to manage/resolve system performance issues. Perform system walk downs. REQUIRED: Candidates must be currently enrolled students with at least one year of college in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical or Civil Engineering, Engineering Science or other Engineering discipline with a minimum 2.8 GPA from an accredited institution. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and personal transportation are also required. Must meet Nuclear’s requirements for unescorted plant access.~~
