Job Description

NAES Corporation, a leading provider of 3rd party O&M services to the Independent Power Industry, is currently recruiting for the following position:

Job Description:

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all instruments, control systems and electrical equipment in the power plant and the associated facilities. Performs work of high skill in the inspection, repair, testing, adjustment, installation and removal of various electronic power plant equipment and systems.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical degree in electronics, electronic automated systems degree, a related area, or the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience preferred.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and tuning subloops, interpreting original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and technical manuals to repair equipment.
  • Familiarity with Bailey or similar controls, transmitters, DCS systems, pneumatic control systems, and environmental control systems.
  • Experience in changing configurations in both graphics and Bailey control systems, or experience working with similar DCS equipment.
  • Experience in rebuilding control valves.
  • Familiarity with Bentley Nevada vibration monitoring systems and Allen Bradley PLCs.
  • Experience with operating hydraulic equipment systems and tools; pneumatic equipment systems and tools; light duty rigging equipment, hoists, winches, lines, block and tackle; forklifts. 
  • Experience in working with and operating hand and power tools. 
  • Basic skills in using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a verity of work environments including outdoors in all weather conditions, on or around energized electrical equipment, in confined spaces, underground and in noisy and dirty environments with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • This is a union position requiring shift work and scheduled/outage overtime.
