Job Description
Since 1980 Ber-Mac Electrical and Instrumentation has been supplying electrical power and instrumentation equipment and services, both domestically and to international customers. Recently, Ber-Mac was acquired by ABB Inc. and we are excited to continue to expand our products and services under the operating name of ABB Ber-Mac Design Drafter 1
Calgary, Alberta Specific responsibilities

Coordinating with Project Engineers on design information and standards
Assisting in analyzing design problems and preparing design sketches
Assisting in providing design specifications
To deliver complex and detailed AutoCAD drawings using specifications, calculations and vendor
data
Preparation of detailed drawings in accordance with detailed instructions and established drafting
standards
Reviewing work of junior staff and checking drafting/output
Allocation of drafting work to junior resource

Qualifications

4 - 7 years experience
College diploma or equivalent
5yrs Design and draft experience (50:50)
AutoCAD – 4 yrs minimum and including 3D modeling
5 yrs Electrical experience and familiarity with codes and regulations
Oil and gas experience – 2 yrs
Project Management experience – 2 yrs
Knowledge of automated drawing methods
Instrumentation and controls – 2 yrs
Able to select work methods and standard procedures.
Ability to perform a range of drafting calculations
Knowledge of common software applications – Microsoft Office Suite
