Job Description
Summary
This position has overall responsibility for the on-line scheduling department. This position supervises the workweek managers/cycle schedulers/schedulers and provides management oversight for the continuous improvement of the Work Management Process.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all phases of on-line schedule development and plant surveillance program. Responsible to provide leadership for On-line work management process. Responsible for site scheduling processes and tools that support implementation of work.
  • Coordination and logical progression of critical activities and initial risk analysis. Facilitation of work management process meetings. Prioritization of schedule activities, work scope control, and equipment reliability improvement.
  • Responsible for all phases of implementation to include daily schedule updates, coordination of emergent work and assessment of impact on current scheduled activities, awareness of real time equipment status. Communication of developments to the operating shift, work group, and senior station managers. Participation in Plan of the Day Meetings as required.
  • Work with personnel on staff development and performance management. Development and implementation of lessons learned for on-line work.
Required
Ten years nuclear plant operation. Five years operations supervisory experience and management experience desired. Familiarity with computerized work control and scheduling processes desirable. Ability to conceive and champion new and innovative ideas for continuous improvement. Proven management, planning, organizational skills Strong interpersonal skills. Problem solving, leadership, decision making abilities. Strong technical and communications skills.
