Job Description

NAES Corporation, a leading provider of 3rd party O&M services to the Independent Power Industry, is currently recruiting for a Control Room Operator for the Burney Forest Power facility located in Burney, CA.  

Burney Forest Power is an approximate 30-megawatt wood-fueled biomass facility that sells all of its electrical capacity and energy to Pacific Gas and Electric Company under a long-term contract.

Job Description:

Under the general direction of the Shift Supervisor, the person holding this position operates a wood-fueld biomass facility in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent. Associate Degree in a technical field desired.
  • Experience as an Assistant Plant Operator or equivalent position in an operating or generating plant.
  • Must successfully complete the CRO qualification card.
  • Familiarity with power plant operations and maintenance desired.
