Job Description

NAES Corporation, a leading provider of 3rd party O&M services to the Independent Power Industry, is currently recruiting for a Lead Operator at the Merced Power Plant located in Merced, CA.

Job Description:

The Lead Operator is responsible for monitoring the status of all plant systems on a continuous basis.  The Lead Operator responds to alarms by taking appropriate corrective actions and executes plant shut-down and start-up procedures as required.  The Lead Operator assures that the plant meets its generating requirements while operating in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment as would be acquired in four years of high school.
  • Minimum two years experience as a Plant Operator or equivalent position in an operating or generating plant required.
  • Associate Degree in a technical field desirable.
  • Must successfully complete the Lead Operator qualification card and successfully complete an O&M Technician knowledge exam.
