AREVA is seeking a Manager, NDE Technical Operations. This qualified individual will:
  • Develop and adapt plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges.
  • Provide proposal input, plans and directs the timely execution of customer contract activities within the assigned cost center(s).
  • Direct all work in accordance with approved standards, policies, procedures and quality plans.
  • Optimize workload, validates demands for method/process improvements so that a competitive level of efficiency is reached.
  • Define the required level of skills and implement hiring and development initiatives so that the section reaches the required level of performance and skills necessary to carry out company objectives.
  • Work interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships.
  • Propose and implement a budget and cost reduction improvements to reach financial objectives.
  • Work on special projects as directed
Typical Projects Your Group May Work On:
  • R&D project NDE support in the qualification of equipment, processes and procedures.
  • Execution of customer contracted NSSS 10 year In Service Inspection programs.
  • NDE internal support to Pump and Motor Center for Reactor Coolant Pump and Motor contracts.
  • Development of NDE techniques for unique applications.
  • Participation in industry Materials Reliability Programs and Industry NDE Programs meetings.
  • Development, execution and certification of NDE personnel training programs.

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience plus 12 years directly related experience.
  • Technical expertise in nuclear plant maintenance.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills: ability to work well with all level of staff and management.
  • Good problem analysis and problem solving skills.
The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
  • Experience of 10 -15 years of Non-Destructive Examination related experience in manufacturing, military and/or nuclear industry.
  • Experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Examination/Inspection Code Cases.
  • NDE Certification in testing techniques (i.e., Eddy Current, Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant, Ultrasonic, Radiography, Visual)
  • Utility experience in NDE role.
TRAVEL:
Customer visits, technical meetings and oversight of outage contract executions at customer site at least 25% of the time.
