Description:

Education and relevant experience will determine the appropriate grade and salary level for one of the following CRM Analyst III, Analyst II or Analyst I.

Administers the company's enterprise risk management credit policy.   Supports all AEP business units and is responsible for determining the financial ability of AEP's counterparties to deliver contracted products and services and to meet payment obligations.

Demonstrate knowledge of   establishing and monitoring credit lines for customers, suppliers and counterparties related to financings as well as purchases and sales of services and commodities.   

Assist in ongoing quantitative and qualitative analyses of each customer, supplier and/or counterparty. Administer the margin and deposit desk, as needed.

Assess and report on the credit risk and collateral requirements of open contracts, monitor counterparty exposure, negotiate and maintain proper collateral enhancements to mitigate credit risks.

Generate and distribute credit related reports and monitor compliance with credit policies and procedures.

Utilize tools and models for analysis and maintain input data to these models.

Develop working knowledge of commodity and commercial contracts, credit enhancements and credit tools to mitigate credit risk.

Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and support the Company's Corporate Compliance Policy.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

 

 

 

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Minimum preferred 2 plus years total related work experience.

Excellent written and oral communication skills; Knowledge and/or experience in commercial and commodity transactions are desirable; Proficiency in spreadsheets and databases.
