Job Description

Job Summary:
º Assist in gathering medical history and assist in performing physical exams (pre-employment, annual, monitoring, RTW, etc).
º Assist in providing injury care, such as suturing, injections, wound care, treating strains & sprains.
º Assist to administer and interpret diagnostic test, such as x-ray, EKG, lab work.
º Counsel patients regarding wellness, health promotion, and safe workplace habits.
º Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential medical records.
º Assist with referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services as needed.
º Administer prescription medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocols, as directed.
º Assist to perform medical surveillance exams consistent with regulatory standards.
º Perform and interpret audiometric testing and pulmonary function testing.
º Coordinate follow-up medical exams.
º Administer and perform alcohol and drug testing program.
º Assume responsibility for own professional development and continuing education.
º Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
º Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing
º Current RN Licensure from the State of Tennesse or compact state

º Minimum of two years recent clinical experience as licensed registered nurse.  
º Occupational health and worker compensation experience preferred.  
º Current and valid RN license.  CPR certified.  
ºAudiometric and Spirometry certifications preferred.  
º COHN certification desirable.
º Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access and S-3 and S-4 medical qualifications when applicable.  
º Must be able and willing to assume "on-call" rotational assignments which may include 24 hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week availability.  
º Must be willing and medically able to work rotating shifts and maximum overtime permitted by TVAN procedures during peak periods.  
º Must be able and willing to travel to plant locations as required when performing assigned tasks and, as necessary, to be temporarily assigned to a field location.
