AREVA is seeking an "Integrated Outage Manager" for our Lynchburg, VA - Mill Ridge Rd. location. This qualified individual will support the Outage Execution and Alliances group.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
  • Directing complex nuclear plant outage-related activities for all Product Lines within the Nuclear Services' organization in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Serves as the focal point of contact with the customer.
  • Leads and directs AREVA NP employees assigned to outage activities.
  • Directs planning and scheduling support, coordinates cost estimates and procurement, and designs support plans prior to and during the outage.
  • Monitors progress of outage work, identifies problems, revises schedules and budgets, and reports status of outage to management.
  • Coordinates operations and maintenance activities during the outage.
  • Oversees implementation of ALARA programs, prepares outage-related documentation, and assesses the adequacy of planning documents and systems.
TYPICAL PROJECTS MAY INCLUDE:
  • Outages and key projects where more than one product line implements work.
TRAVEL:
50% travel required.

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 12 years experience in nuclear outages project management or other leadership roles, or 15 years directly related equivalent experience in project management or outage services management in lieu of degree.
  • Strong Project Management background with extensive knowledge of Steam Generator, Refueling, and Pump and Motor businesses required. Min. of 15 years hands-on experience in these combined fields. Direct customer field experience required.
  • Must have prior experience as a Leader or Manager in an outage function in one or more of the following: Steam Generator, Refueling and Pump and Motors. Candidates with leadership experience in all three areas are preferred.
  • Experience monitoring progress of outage scope, reviewing budgets/schedules required.
  • Must have experience presenting outage reports to Sr. Management.
  • The individual needs to demonstrate the ability to work across product lines within IBA to gain consensus and integration.

  • Strong technical knowledge of the Product Lines, work processes, and equipment utilized.
  • Basic contractual requirements knowledge.
