The Information Technology department executes a variety of international projects involving multidisciplinary teams of experts in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, process engineering, power systems engineering, and theoretical physics. Support our Control and Optimization group as a control engineer (m/f). You, the control engineer (m/f), will get to work in a friendly research and development environment. A young, multinational team is looking forward to welcoming you as their newest member! Your tasks: support the project team with applied research and technology transfer projects in the areas of control technologies for electrical drives, drives applications, or power electronics applications • develop control algorithms and models for these applications • run simulations • implement and test algorithms on prototypes • initiate and participate in research projects with leading universities world-wide • offer support and advice across ABB business units The requirements: excellent scientific track, PhD, and recent journal publications • expertise in advanced control theory, power electronics control, mathematical modeling, and optimization methods • strong mathematics/physics background • experience working with electrical drives or power electronic applications an advantage • VHDL skills or a willingness to learn desirable • fluency in English, spoken and written; German skills a plus • team player with hands-on mentality Your contact: Andrea Kuhn, Recruiting Consultant We look forward to receiving your application (max. 1 MB) via our online-form. | |
