New Jersey location: Forked River Job Description Exelon is currently looking for a Nuclear Operations Training Program Specialist at corporate office in Kennett Square, PA.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Provides governance and oversight of stations initial and continuing licensed operator examinations to assure regulatory requirements are met. Assures that initial and continuing operator training programs are established and maintained consistent with industry standards for accredited nuclear training programs. Provides governance and oversight of operator training program implementation through the assessment process. Provides technical support to sites for operations training programs.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Provide governance and oversight for station project management of development and administration of initial, annual, and biennial licensed operator examinations.
2. Provide project management of the standardization, development and maintenance of initial training programs in selected Operations disciplines.
3. Provide oversight and support of comprehensive self-assessments of training programs in support of station accreditation needs.
4. Performs review of station self-assessment results to determine trends and areas for improvement.
5. Helps prepare station staff for accreditation and other external evaluations, and to prepare management representatives for INPO Accreditation activities.
6. Supports station and fleet in the areas of business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, EP duties, and special projects.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
1. Associates degree in science/engineering or education/training
2. 8+years of initial and requalification license exam development experience
3. 3+ years of instructional experience
4. Previous or current senior reactor operator license or certification
5. Experience applying knowledge of 10CFR55 operator licensing requirements, NUREG-1021 examiner standards to operator licensing examinations
6. Extensive knowledge of operator licensing regulatory requirements and examiner standards as applied to the preparation, approval, and administration of examinations for initial licensing and requalification of operators
7. Extensive knowledge of commercial BWR or PWR systems, plant design, procedures and operation and ability to apply these to the evaluation of knowledge and performance of nuclear power plant operators
8. Knowledge of and experience with the systematic approach to training (SAT)

Preferred:
1. Bachelors degree in science/engineering or education/training
2. 4+years of initial and requalification license exam development experience
3. 4+ years of instructional experience
4. Project management experience
