Business Unit Overview Exelon Nuclear operates the largest nuclear fleet in the nation and the third largest fleet in the world, which represents approximately 20 percent of the U.S. nuclear industry's power capacity. Illinois locations: Braceville, Byron, Clinton, Marseilles, Moline, Morris, and Warrenville Pennsylvania locations: Delta, Kennett Square, Middletown, and Pottstown New Jersey location: Forked River Job Description Exelon is currently looking for Operations Supervisors at our Limerick Generating Station located in Pottstown, PA. The first line supervisor takes action and gives direction as needed to ensure safe, efficient operation of the plant in compliance with regulatory requirements, company requirements, and company commitments. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Upon the successful completion of Initial License Training (including attainment of NRC SRO License) the individual will report to their Shift Manager and will work rotating shifts. The first line Operations Supervisor will be responsible for: 1. Directly Supervise licensed and non-licensed operators. 2. Enforce expectations and standards 3. Monitor and coach operators on their performance. 4. Own the development, performance, and actions of direct reports; including training, rewards and discipline, and radiation dose. 5. Conduct plant walk-downs to identify deficiencies and initiate corrective action. 6. Review Non-Licensed Operator rounds each shift 7. Maintain qualifications as a shift Technical Advisor or Incident Assessor. 8. Provide recommendations to the Operating team in the event of an accident or transient. 9. Authorize testing, surveillance's, outages, and maintenance on all equipment and systems affecting plant safety. 10. Ensure equipment is properly restored following completion of these activities. 11. Ensure activities listed on the site work schedule impacting the control room are completed as scheduled. 12. Ensure appropriate personnel are notified if planned work is delayed. 13. Ensure abnormal conditions are investigated, including initial troubleshooting, verifying proper information is gathered and verifying appropriate corrective actions are established. 14. Ensure response to transients is appropriate; including ensuring plant response is as expected.
