Job Description
Xcel Energy has an opportunity in their Learning Services Department. If you enjoy providing technical support to customers and have experience with Plateau Learning Management System (LMS) this could be a perfect opportunity!
Summary
Leverage investment in Talent Management Technology (e.g. Learning Management System (LMS), through consulting, partnering, training, and customer support; coordinating and standardizing efforts across learning organizations and business area initiatives. Assist customers in the definition of business processes that leverage the LMS. Use in-depth understanding of the LMS and exceptional customer service skills to respond to customer support requests received through email, telephone support line, and Remedy. Define support processes and corresponding tracking and reporting tools. Conduct data review and recommend improvement efforts based on trend analysis. Develop and deliver system training to end users and application administrators. Create and publish application support materials. Manage team web sites and provide web content integration with related department and cross functional webs. Manage student evaluation process. Participate in technology system maintenance and upgrade projects. Create alternative delivery training materials and assist in the creation of multi-media training elements for online learning courses.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide end user, manager and administrator support for all the Learning Management System and online learning solutions. Work with Business Systems resources on technology problem escalation and resolution.
  • Assist customers in the application of learning and reporting technologies that align with and support business processes. Coordinate and standardize efforts across learning organizations, business area initiatives and projects. Manage student evaluation process.
  • Provide project support to learning organizations, including data configuration, testing, and communication assistance.
  • Leverage business understanding and data analysis to provide tracking, reporting, and support solution development, including the design and development of reporting solutions using Crystal Reports, SharePoint, Business Objects, and Excel.
  • Develop and deliver LMS application training to end users and application administrators. Create and publish application support materials.
  • Manage team web sites and provide web content integration with related department and cross-functional webs.
  • Participate in technology system maintenance and upgrade projects; including business rule design, communication development, and creation and execution of test scripts.
  • Provide assistance in the development of learning solutions through the creation of alternative course materials and multi-media component development.

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in technology, training, or related degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years related experience
  • Demonstrated experience with the administrator function of the Plateau Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Proven oral and written communication skills. Strong customer service and technical problem solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft FrontPage, Remedy, SharePoint, Microsoft Excel and SnagIt
  • Advanced Microsoft FrontPage user
  • Understanding of Xcel Energy's diverse training/learning environments
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities.
