Job Description

NAES Corporation, a leading provider of 3rd party O&M services to the Independent Power Industry, is currently recruiting for the following position:

Job Description:

The Shift Supervisor ensures the safe and efficient operation, and monitoring of the power plant and the supporting equipment and systems. The Shift Supervisor carries out all routine water/gas chemistry analysis, inspects and monitors operating components and reports plant status. Also assumes responsibility for the safe operation of the facility in the absence of the Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the area of assignment as would be acquired in four years of high school. 
  • Analytical Computer skills desired.
  • Minimum of two years experience in Supervising Power Plant Operations is desirable. 
  • Minimum 6-8 years Power Plant Operations experience.
  • Experience in water chemistry control, analysis of water conditions, water treatment facility operations and chemical handling requirements is desired.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of cogeneration and boiler operations, closed system steam generation, industrial safety, hazardous waste management and inspection/recording of plant parameters is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Curculating Fluidized Bed desirable
  • Experience with piping and instrument schematics and process controls desirable.
  • Working knowledge of power plant industry is desirable.
  • Candidate must complete a plant operator's knowledge examination.
