POSITION DESCRIPTION Under broad supervision, this position is responsible for securing and managing resources for moderately complex single product line commercial projects from proposal development and award through contract closeout. Responsibilities typically include planning, scheduling and control of project activities to achieve project objectives. Provides project leadership for major commercial nuclear facilities design, construction, expansion, extension, renovation or component replacement projects.
DESCRIPTION OF DEPARTMENT/SECTION The AFS Project Management (PM) organization is responsible for the project management and execution of engineering projects. This includes design, analysis, fabrication, testing, and deployment of systems and technologies to recover, process, handle and store radioactive waste at the Hanford Site and other DOE facilities. Additionally, the organization is responsible for providing technical support to the Hanford Site primary contractors. TYPICAL PROJECTS YOUR GROUP MAY WORK ON Construction/Project Management (PM) activities within the Richland Operations organization is responsible for the project management and execution of engineering projects. This includes projects associated with the Hanford Site and other DOE facilities. Additionally, the organization is responsible for providing technical support to the Hanford Site primary contractors.
