Business Unit Overview Business Services provides Exelon and its subsidiaries with financial, human resource, legal, information technology, supply management and corporate governance services. Job Description PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB Provide technical and software support for the suite of Network Applications (NA) and related interfaces used by Transmission System Operations (TSO) and Distribution System Operations (DSO). Maintain the NA power system model to ensure availability of valid results for real-time and study applications. Work with TSO and DSO organizations to plan development and use of the applications and changes to the power system model. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Accountability: Provide application software support for NA functions, including State Estimator, Dispatcher Load Flow, Contingency Analysis, Equipment Outage Scheduler, Adaptive Load Forecasting and Operator Training Simulator. Investigate problems, test software and data changes, assist users with use of the applications and related data interfaces. Provide technical support for the NA functions and data model. Work with TSO and DSO to determine appropriate modeling of the power system, investigate solution issues, and to coordinate, implement, and validate changes to the model. Work with users to ensure effective and appropriate use of the various applications. Perform data entry as required to maintain data related to the network model. Interface with TSO and DSO, system planning, and other PECO departments to gather data necessary to properly model the system. Interface with external organizations (PJM, neighboring utilities, etc) to communicate updates to the PECO system model, and to collect external system information required for PECO¿s model. Work with TSO and DSO to define required changes and enhancements to the applications or interfaces. Work with software vendor and/or internal resources to implement and test changes to NA functionality. Work with the software vendor to investigate and resolve problems with the applications. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Minimum: Demonstrates comprehensive IT product knowledge, technical skill, and IT best practices. 1-3 years IT or IT-related business experience. Ability to foster and maintain excellent client relationships. Strong oral and written communication skills. Preferred: Experience with any Energy Management System Advanced Applications, such as State Estimator or Contingency Analysis. Knowledge of GE XA21 application Experience with modeling of power systems for load flow analysis. Working knowledge of FORTRAN and C programming languages; PERL and XML BS/BA Electrical Engineering degree JOB SCOPE ¿Demonstrates accountability for the support and maintenance of the EED SCADA Advanced Applications ¿Provides 24x7 system support on a rotating basis ¿Performs duties in support of Transmission System Operations, Distribution System Operations, and IT Energy Delivery Solutions ¿Effectively communicates and interacts with management, vendors, and business clients.
