Job Description
LOOKING FOR A NEW OPPORTUNITY? ENJOY A NEW EXCITING CAREER IN A GROWING INDUSTRY! CANBERRA - AREVA is seeking an Assembly Technician in our Detectors Production Department in Meriden, CT location. The Assembly Technician will be required to build assemblies and sub-assemblies into housings to be used for radiation detection. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: Building and evacuation of various cryogenics hardware. Leak checking cryostats, dewars, etc. Cleaning hardware. Assembling FETs. Mounting and handling of detectors. Epoxying feedthrus and Be windows. Maintaining stocks / supplies. Maintaining equipment. Soldering. Inspect manufactured items for cosmetics, workmanship, soldering, conformance to drawings, and quality standards. Verify proper revision levels and markings per prints. Follow priority schedules. Assist team members and provide support. Work with Engineering to identify and correct problems.
