Business Unit Overview Exelon's Power Team, the company's wholesale power marketing and commodity trading organization, actively trades power and fuel in order to optimize the profitability of a growing portfolio of assets and load obligations as well as the implementation of risk management objectives. Our portfolio includes the largest fleet of nuclear generation in the U.S., plus extensive coal, oil, natural gas, hydroelectric and wind generation assets. The power marketing & trading organization (Power Team) is responsible for optimize the value of Exelon Generation's portfolio.
Location: Kennett Square, PA Job Description PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the portfolio management function within Exelon Generation Company's Power Team. Power Team, the company's wholesale power marketing and trading organization, is responsible for optimizing the profitability of a growing portfolio of assets and load obligations as well as the implementation of risk management objectives. The portfolio management function is responsible for facilitating, developing and monitoring the strategies for multiple commodities including power, natural gas, and oil as well as multiple regions including PJM (East and Midwest) and ERCOT. The individual will play a key role in developing and facilitating the strategies for managing the company's generation and load portfolio in line with stated financial objectives such as expected earnings, cash flows, and target credit rating and within the stated risk management objectives; and in enhancing an integrated set of tools for analyzing Exelon's position, margin expectations, and risk. The position will appeal to an individual who is a strong communicator and can balance the complexity of in-depth analysis with the ability to develop high-level strategies that fit the overall vision of the company; and that thrives in a fast-paced team environment; and is interested in contributing to achieving business results in a rapidly changing and challenging area of the industry.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1 Lead a cross-functional project team of traders, markets, and analysts to develop portfolio management plans that will meet the company's long-term financial objectives for earnings, cash flow, and liquidity.
2 Develop the requirements for tools and analyses to support portfolio planning such as the portfolio
3 Identify how the commodity market cycles impact the portfolio plan and the company's financial prospects
4 Identify risk elements and determine impact on portfolio planning, including market, operation, regulatory and environmental decisions
5 Provide insight and recommendations on products and execution strategies to achieve the portfolio management plan
6 Participate in other commercial decisions that link to the portfolio plan such as the capital investment plan, structuring and pricing of long term deals, and retail sales
7 Develop management presentations and have the ability to communicate portfolio strategies and how they align with the company's financial expectations
8 Interface with Corporate Risk Control and Financial Planning to ensure trading strategies are consistent with the framework provided in the risk policy and long range financial plan and assist in completing portfolio management related projects and presentations
9 Interface with IT and analytics to develop systems that integrate decision tools, which monitor the position and measure the performance of decisions

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
1) An undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing or Engineering
2) 8 years experience in Energy commodity trading and/or commercial decision making experience
3) Demonstrates decision making capabilities coupled with the ability to work under tight deadlines
4) Strong organization and communication skills with a proven track record of project management
5) Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project
Preferred:
1) An advanced degree in Finance, MBA, or Engineering
