The Project Department belongs to AREVA's Mining Business Group and has in charge the monitoring and the coordination of all the industrial projects of the BG, localised in 4 geographical zones: Niger, Northern America, Southern Africa (Namibia, South Africa, and Central African Republic) and Asia (Kazakhstan, Mongolia). The Project Department includes:
  • The in-house project management teams (Owners)
  • The Central Team composed of 4 coordinators for each localisation as well as a multidisciplinary support in commercial, finance, technical matters, project control, reporting and HR.
Missions
The Project Department is searching for à Project Controller for the KATCO Project, localised in Kazakhstan.
You report directly to the Project Director and are his real right hand person. You are in charge of project support: you manage, coordinate and control all necessary Project Services activities to ensure that they are performed in accordance with project objectives. In terms of control project, your role is to provide the Project Department with the best estimation of Cost at completion and the best estimation of project start up date, and to identify any risk of slippage and propose recovery plans if necessary.
Your main missions are:
- To control the preparation and review of the initial Project budget and of its successive revisions and to oversee the constant monitoring of project costs
- To consolidate and review the initial Project risk and opportunity database (including the implementation of action plans)
- To coordinate the planning and progress control activities associated with the establishment and management of the overall Project Schedule and individual contract Work Time Schedules
- To coordinate Project Documentation activities
- To monitor and control Project contract activities comprising identification of prospective Tenderers, call for tender preparation, tender evaluation and award and all post award contract administration through to contract close-out
- To provide to Project Department all necessary indicators to ensure the best visibility on Project execution and progress and targets
- To monitor or to participate to specific studies (strategic, financial, continuous improvement, etc.)
- To ensure a good cooperation with other Project Department's salaries
  • You know Project Management Practises and Methods. A certification would be a plus.
  • You have got a 10 year experience - an international experience would be helpful - in project execution, including :
    • Project organisation and coordination and Management
    • Project budget and cost control
    • Project planning and progress control
    • Call for tender preparation, tender evaluation, contract award and administration
    • Project reporting
    • Construction practises
    • Risk and documentation management
  • You have interpersonal, synthesis and writing skills
  • You speak English fluently. Russian would be a plus.
