Business Unit Overview Business Services provides Exelon and its subsidiaries with financial, human resource, legal, information technology, supply management and corporate governance services. Job Description The mission of the Manager Supplier Diversity, is to assist with identifying, utilizing and developing diverse businesses/enterprises that provide value and services and/or commodities which are purchased by Exelon. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsibility for the development and implementation of the supplier diversity process. This key function must work closely with the executive leadership and key management team to bring meaningful results to Exelon¿s bottom line through a comprehensive and effective Supplier Diversity Programs. Provide executive level leadership and direction on all matters of supplier diversity to ensure success of the program/process development, implementation, interpretation and review of the supplier diversity policies and processes. Manage the end-to-end supplier diversity process for Supply¿s strategic business groups. Create robust supplier diversity resources (e.g. list/database., diverse supplier intel) Personally develop methods and procedures so that all spending adheres to corporate guidelines as well as federal, state or local guidelines. Prepare an annual utilization plan that establishes Exelon¿s certified supplier diversity expenditure goals. Develop strategies and processes to promote the Supplier Diversity program within Exelon ensuring alignment to corporate and regulatory policies. Create monitor and implement systematic approaches to developing and maintaining successful vendor relationships. Effectively represent Exelon to suppliers, peer companies, Small Business Fairs, community representatives, and supplier diversity advocacy organizations. Train, coach and support buyers and executive sponsors about our obligations and requirements for small business and small business and supplier diversity spend and the goals for increasing that spend Develop and maintain key metrics and reporting tools (e.g., bid solicitations, bid responses, and patterns of inappropriate or incomplete bids from all diverse suppliers that bid) and implement innovative solutions and secure complex, unique business partnerships and arrangements to meet supplier diversity needs. Review all formal procurement activities directed at enhancing diverse supplier business utilization and participation. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Economic/Business Administration or related degree. 5 - 7 years of relevant experience preferred. Exceptional verbal/ written skills Excellent customer service skills Strong organization skills Ability to function in a highly paced environment Ability to work with others in diverse internal business groups and external communities Excellent telephone skills Proficient spreadsheet skills PREFERRED Graduate level education and advanced socio-economic and legal training desirable.
