Perform installation, maintenance and repair of various IT related equipment, utilizing accepted practices and procedures. Perform advanced testing and acceptance procedures, and produce required documentation. Demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of various IT systems, related equipment and business processes. Provide assistance to others when required. Demonstrate consistent and reliable problem solving, troubleshooting, communication and customer service skills. Maintain in-depth working knowledge of databases and record keeping systems for project and asset tracking. Principal Accountabilities: 1. Demonstrate working level technical and computer literacy, knowledge and skills.
2. Exhibit working knowledge and understanding of relevant equipment, material, systems and processes.
3. Demonstrate ability to use technical and computer tools to perform assignments in the most efficient, cost effective manner.
4. Demonstrate working knowledge and ensure compliance with pertinent standards, codes, regulations, practices and procedures.
5. Perform and understand routine tasks in a consistent and reliable manner, and may have advanced knowledge within one or more of the major technical disciplines (Computer Systems, EMS/SCADA Systems, Networking Systems, Radio Systems, Transport Systems, Voice/Video Systems).
6. Share knowledge with coworkers.
7. Provide training and guidance to less experienced employees.
8. Contribute to the creation of a climate in which people want to do their best.
9. Set a good example for others through good work habits and a positive attitude Minimum Requirements IT Support Technician IV Entry level position - requires a minimum of an Associate Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. Focus on delivering excellent customer service at all times.
IT Support Technician III Two or more years of related experience, demonstrated through a basic knowledge and ability. Good performance (Performance Category 3 or better) at the previous level.
IT Support Technician II Five or more years of related experience, demonstrated through a working knowledge and ability, or from equivalent combination of education and/or experience, training, certifications and practical application. Good performance (Performance Category 3 or better) at the previous level.
