Group Function Reporting & Consolidation establishes and coordinates Group accounting, reporting and consolidation processes to facilitate timely and accurate preparation of Group reporting in line with the latest regulatory requirements. It is also responsible for the correct accounting of mergers & acquisitions and lending significant support to the financial Due Diligence for mergers & acquisitions within ABB. To strengthen this team, we are looking for an M&A Accounting Expert based at our headquarters in Zürich. Your tasks: Serve as finance lead in Merger & Acquisition (M&A) due diligence and post-acquisition integration projects • collaborate with Group Function M&A, internal management and external accounting firms as you assist in execution of financial due diligence and development of appropriate transaction structure for acquisitions • assist with purchase agreements and post-closing transaction matters •analyze financial and operational results of targets • prepare pro forma financial statements dentify issues for purchase price reductions and deal structuring and steps to full integration • perform post-acquisition purchase price allocation (PPA) and purchase accounting adjustments • research and draft accounting policies as a result of new accounting pronouncements as well performing other regular updates to the ABB accounting guidelines. The requirements: Degree in Business Administration • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent • M&A experience • accounting and/or financial reporting experience obtained in Public Accounting or in an international group • knowledge of SOX rules and requirements • project-management skills • analytical skills • effective communication • cultural sensitivity.
