Job Description

The Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team is a global supporting function which is responsible for the successful execution of acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestments with maximum value, speed, and risk management for the ABB Group. We are the M&A center of expertise in the Group with teams in Zurich, the US, and China, and are looking for a Project Manager (m/f) to join our team at the Group’s headquarter in Zurich.

In this role, you will independently plan, negotiate, execute, and complete projects with focus on value, risks, quality, and progression as well as team leadership.

Your tasks: involve and manage internal and external resources in the various competence areas necessary in a global M&A transaction, e.g. strategic and financial analysis, determination of synergies, valuation, and balance sheet management • handle due diligence, accounting principles, pensions, and contractual issues • investigate M&A opportunities and produce summary presentations and reports for the Group Management • simultaneously work on various projects

The requirements: Master in Business Administration and/or Engineering with strong academic results • at least 7 years’ working experience in managing cross-border, interdisciplinary strategic projects within investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance/M&A • experience in managing M&A transactions incl. finalization of all post-closing issues • excellent strategic, analytical, and communicative skills • strong leadership with a team-oriented approach • fluency in English; additional languages an asset
