This position is posted in a range from Project Coordinator (PC) IV (salary grade 05) to a Project Coordinator (PC) II (salary grade 11).
*Note: Education and relevant experience will be used to determine appropriate salary and grade.
Position Summary: The project coordinator will assist the project manager in the planning, initiating, executing, monitoring/control and closeout of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) type projects.
Principal Accountablilities: 1. Assists the project manager in the efficient and timely performance in all aspects of the project. 2. Arranges project meetings and conference calls, develops meeting minutes, action items and effectively communicates project status. 3. Assists in the development, review and coordination of project schedules, estimates, forecasts, contracts and invoices. 4. Assists and coordinates the development of project documents including project charter, key and subsidiary plans. 5. Develops partnerships with the project team including, engineering, environmental, construction, plant staff, vendors, contractors and consultants. 6. Provides general guidance, instruction and training to improve design, systems, procedures, schedules and cost. Minimum Requirements -Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business or related Technical Field from an ABET accredited college or university. -Desired candidate may come from the following industries: utility, environmental, architectural, EPA, utility agencies -Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products including Work, Excel and Powerpoint -Superior written and verbal communication skills -A successful track record in working as a team player with a positive attitude -Capable of coordinating multiple projects at the same time.
PC IV- 0-2 years related experience PC III- 2-5 years related experience PC II- 5-8 years related experience
Preferred: -Familiarity with project management principles -Previous EPC type project work -Exposure to surveying, civil engineering, design or construction
Work Hours: M-F 7-4 with overtime, travel and some overnight stays as necessary
